Welcome to the Heavens - Astronomy Art of the Cosmos

 Through combined media paintings, I translate the beauty of deep space into scenes that focus on rich, resonant color and surprising texture. These celestial paintings are interpretations and transformations of cosmic photographs produced by NASA, the Hubble Deep Space Telescope, James Webb telescope and highly skilled earth-based photographers. This astronomy art include nebulae, galaxies and planetary systems which take on an abstract brilliance not found here on earth. 

My research into these heavenly bodies includes books, the Internet, NASA’s resources and direct contact with photographers for images to transform.  These cosmic paintings are very close to being ‘astronomically correct’ in respect to major star and galaxy placement within the area depicted. These paintings can be displayed in any direction as the heavens rotate, giving you various perspectives through a porthole of the universe!
